Show Your NFL Pride at Work or School September 10

NFL PLAY 60 and United Way are teaming up for Back to Football Friday, an exciting campaign to advance youth health and wellness as a national priority. Fans of all ages are encouraged to show their NFL team pride September 10 in celebration of the start of the NFL season and join our efforts to end childhood obesity. One lucky participant will win a trip for two to Super Bowl XLV in north Texas; 34 schools can win a $10,000 health and wellness grant and a visit from an NFL player. Read More.

United Way Announces $62,025,000 Goal, Seeks 20,000 More Donors

United Way of Greater Cincinnati has set a 2010 campaign goal of $62,025,000 and 20,000 new donors. Campaign chair Dave Dougherty shared the goal in a special video that was part of the organization's innovative virtual kickoff August 25. There were also festivities on Fountain Square, including a performance by Tracy Walker of her song "Who We Are." Read more.

United Way, Strive Partnership Awarded $2 Million Grant for Social Innovation Efforts

The Corporation for National and Community Services has awarded United Way of Greater Cincinnati, The Strive Partnership and other community partners a $2 million 2010 Social Innovation Fund grant in support of the organizations' collaborative efforts to address economic opportunities, youth development and school support.
