Did you know, more than 20% of our neighbors are adults aged 60 or older?  That’s almost half a million people!  Changing conditions are holding older adults back from engaging in everyday activities that help them stay connected to their friends, family and the community.  While social services like home delivered meals and wellness support play an important role in providing connections to older adults who may not have outside friends or families, by uniting together, we can all be part of the solution.

We have partnered with over 17 diverse community organizations to distribute Notes of Encouragement to local seniors who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. You can help by pledging to write notes today. This is an ongoing need; we will continue to collect notes throughout the year!

So, what’s next? We ask individuals, families, corporate groups, youth athletic groups, and more to pledge the number of notes you commit to writing.

Once you’ve let us know how many notes you plan to write, please follow these guidelines for creating your notes: United4Neighbors: Notes of Encouragement Guidelines

Mail or deliver notes to United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Notes of Encouragement, 2400 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45202

If you’d like to participate, but don’t feel comfortable writing notes, you can fill out our online form.  Feel free to complete the form as many times as you would like!
