UWGC recognized with Legacy Builder Award

CINCINNATI, Ohio (September 16, 2021) — Legacy Pointe Church will recognize United Way of Greater Cincinnati with its 2021 Legacy Builder Award on Sept. 24.

Legacy Pointe Church issues the Legacy Builder Award to a person or organization that is a great partner and provides significant help to fulfill the mission and vision of Legacy Pointe Church. United Way was recognized for:

  1. Providing financial aid and rent relief to more than 100 families during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. Providing school supplies for TCP World Academy and Silverton Paideia school.
  3. Distributing personal protection equipment to seniors and underserved populations throughout Greater Cincinnati.

“Legacy Pointe Church has been a fantastic partner and really committed to LIVING UNITED in our community,” said Chandra Mathews-Smith, chief engagement officer for United Way. “We appreciate them recognizing us not only for our work with them, but our increased efforts to work with people of all communities throughout Greater Cincinnati. We are looking forward to a great celebration.”

The award will be presented on Sept. 24, 2021, during the church’s Legacy Gala held at Legacy Pointe Church located at 6280 Kugler Mill Road, Cincinnati, OH 45236. The celebration will feature live music and hors d’oeuvres.
