CINCINNATI (March 9, 2026) – United Way of Greater Cincinnati is pleased to announce Leigh Fox, President and CEO of altafiber, will serve as chair of our 2026 fundraising campaign.

Fox, who is also a United Way board member, will lead the 110-year-old organization’s efforts to mobilize workplaces and community members in support of our mission to advance economic well-being for families across the region.

Last year, with the leadership of Campaign Chair Candace McGraw and the support of thousands of donors and partners, United Way invested more than $40 million in the community. Together, we supported children and young people in reaching key educational milestones, connected neighbors to tools and resources they need to build financial stability and helped families stay in their homes.

“As our region grows and evolves, so does the need for strong, connected leadership,” said Moira Weir, President and CEO, United Way of Greater Cincinnati. “Leigh understands that when we work together across sectors and communities, we can create real opportunity. His leadership and commitment will help us deepen our impact and ensure more families have what they need to thrive.”

Fox brings decades of executive leadership and a strong record of civic engagement to his role as campaign chair. As President and CEO of altafiber, he has championed innovation and connectivity across the region — work that complements United Way’s belief that strong infrastructure and strong communities go hand in hand.

“United Way plays a vital role in strengthening our region,” said Fox. “From helping children succeed in school to supporting families working toward financial stability — collectively, we have the power to create new pathways to opportunity for more of our neighbors.”

United Way’s annual campaign engages companies and individuals across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana, raising critical funds that stay local. Beyond fundraising, we empower workplaces to give back to our community by coordinating year-round volunteer opportunities.
