UNITE FOR TEEN FINANCIAL LITERACY

A key step in helping children and families move toward self-sufficiency is preparing youth and young adults to succeed in school and in life. You can help by joining us for our sixth annual Unite for Teen Financial Literacy effort!

Unite for Teen Financial Literacy

Although volunteers may not be able to visit schools in person, United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) once again will partner with Junior Achievement to utilize an adapted lesson plan that volunteers will share with students virtually cross all seventh-grade Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) classrooms.

United Way Day of Action

On and around June 21, tens of thousands of people across the globe volunteer with United Way to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.

United4Neighbors: Notes of Encouragement

Did you know, more than 20% of our neighbors are adults aged 60 or older?  That’s almost half a million people!  Changing conditions are holding older adults back from engaging in everyday activities that help them stay connected to their friends, family and the community.  While social services like home delivered meals and wellness support play an important role in providing connections to older adults who may not have outside friends or families, by uniting together, we can all be part of the solution.

We have partnered with over 17 diverse community organizations to set a goal of providing 15,000 Notes of Encouragement to local seniors.  You can help by pledging to write notes today.  We will continue to collect pledges and notes until we reach our goal!

So, what’s next? We ask individuals, families, corporate groups, youth athletic groups, and more to pledge the number of notes you commit to writing.

You can also participate in our Holiday Notes of Encouragement through December 16!

Once you’ve let us know how many notes you plan to write, please follow these guidelines for creating your notes: United4Neighbors: Notes of Encouragement Guidelines

Mail notes to United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Notes of Encouragement, 2400 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45202

If you’d like to participate, but don’t feel comfortable writing notes, you can fill out our online form.  Feel free to complete the form as many times as you would like!
