Unite for Teen Financial Literacy Day on February 4! We need 150 volunteers with financial service experience to teach a version of Junior Achievement’s financial literacy curriculum to 7th graders at Cincinnati Public Schools.
In 2018, United Way of Greater Cincinnati awarded a $212,000 grant to Easterseals' Prosperity for All program, which is dedicated to addressing the individual needs of families working their way out of poverty. Members of the program like Latasha and Anthony recent shared their stories and explained how the program not only removed barriers, but helped them with valuable life skills so they can accomplish their goals.
On Giving Tuesday, United Way of Greater Cincinnati launched RideUnited to raise funds and awareness around the lack of reliable transportation in our region. RideUnited, presented locally by TriHealth, leverages the strengths of the United Way 211 network to address unmet critical transportation needs. In addition to launching RideUnited, we celebrated Giving Tuesday at Taft’s Brewpourium, where volunteers assembled more than 200 Family Assistance kits.
In November United Way of Greater Cincinnati announced a major milestone in its annual community fundraising campaign. “Thanks to the generosity of the community, we will maintain funding for all agencies and initiatives and there will be no further cuts in services,” said Archie Brown, CEO of First Financial Bank and Chair of this year’s annual United Way campaign.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati monitors and engages in public policy issues that improve opportunities for financial stability, especially for people living in poverty. We advocate for the effective delivery of human services that improve the lives of people in need in our region. Don’t forget to vote in this election! The United Way of Greater Cincinnati today announced that David Taylor, P&G’s Chairman and CEO, will be Chair of United Way’s 2020 Community Fundraising Campaign.
The Champions of Change have a huge task – to build a grant program that invests in promising, community-based, Black-led ideas aligned to United Way's focus on poverty. Over the past several months, the group has been working hard to gather information to inform the design of this program.

We recently announced the appointment of Bryan McCleary to the position of Chief Marketing Officer. McCleary comes to United Way following a career in government, business and non-profits.
