Highlights from United Way of Greater Cincinnati's Eastern Area Office:

  • A longtime national supporter of United Way is making a major investment in Clermont County. Nestle Purina PetCare in October announced plans for a new $550 million factory in Williamsburg Township. The factory, which will produce dog and cat food brands, is expected to employ more than 300 people by 2024. The economic impact will be significant, and Nestle Purina will be an asset to our communities.
  • The Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library is a partnership with Dolly’s Parton’s Imagination Library and provides a free book to children under age 5 each month. Clermont County’s program launched in July 2020 through the efforts of United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s Eastern Area Center, which brought together the Clermont County Public Library, the Dollywood Foundation, the governor’s office, and others. By the end of 2020, the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library had expanded to every Ohio county. To celebrate that success, the Clermont County Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library is working with local and state representatives to schedule a meet-and-greet with Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine, who has championed the program.
  • With the continued support of local volunteers, mobile food pantries continue to address the greatest needs in our community. All interested volunteers should contact the Eastern Area office at (513) 536-3005.
