UNITED WAY’S SOUTHEAST INDIANA OFFICE MOVES TO GREENDALE
After 10 years in Lawrenceburg, United Way of Greater Cincinnati - Southeast Indiana moved to Greendale in November. The office is at 488 Ludlow St., above the Greendale Police Department.
Karen Snyder, director of the office that serves Indiana’s Dearborn and Ohio counties, said the new space allows the office to function better and to serve the community better. The storefront office in Lawrenceburg worked well when most interactions involved people walking in the door. But as times changed, space was needed to conduct video conferencing and hold meetings without interruption. That now can happen, and people can still stop by in person after making an appointment. “It has given us the best of both worlds,” Snyder said.
For assistance in finding the office, Snyder turned to Alan Weiss, chairman of United Way’s Southeast Indiana Action Council. Weiss, the mayor of Greendale, recommended the space on Ludlow Street. “We provide (United Way) with office space and set them up to concentrate on what they do best, and that’s helping nonprofit agencies in the area,” Weiss told the Dearborn County Register.
