Cincinnati Magazine has published its second annual compilation of the region’s most powerful business leaders — Cincinnati 300 — and it includes Moira Weir, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
To compile the list, the Cincinnati Magazine staff studied the area’s largest public, private and nonprofit organizations “knowing that those leading the most powerful businesses are powerful themselves,” Editor-in-Chief John Fox wrote in the introduction. Moira is one of 26 leaders profiled in the Nonprofit & Government section of Cincinnati 300. Other categories include Banking & Finance; Consumer Goods; Culture & Leisure; Education & Health; Manufacturing & Tech; Professional Services; and Real Estate.
In the brief question-and-answer section of her profile, Moira was asked about her toughest challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Restructuring to ensure that community needs drive our work and our organizational structure,” she said.
She also was asked about her message to employees during this uncertainty. Her response: “We must listen to individuals and families and let them drive our response, programming, and advocacy.”
