Partners for a Competitive Workforce, the key workforce initiative at United Way of Greater Cincinnati, was recognized along with AMIP by Cincy magazine with the MANNY Award for “Biggest Breakthrough”.
PCW collaborates with workers, employers, education, community-based organizations and workforce partners to advance a skilled workforce, promote good jobs, invest in equitable outcomes, and meet current and emerging workforce needs.
Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnerships, or AMIP, has seen membership double in the last two years with over 300 active members. We work together to alleviate occupational shortages for the industry by creating and implementing an integrated process to link current and prospective employees with educational opportunities to meet the Advanced Manufacturing needs for skilled talent. “We promote industry awareness through focused events, defined pathways and execute strategies to unite partners that ultimately fill the talent pipeline,” said Debby Combs, Director of Industry Partnerships at United Way’s Partners for a Competitive Workforce.
The AMIP is funded and led by Partners for a Competitive Workforce.
The MANNY Awards are committed to recognizing the manufacturing industry’s greatest accomplishments. In doing so, they are able to honor local companies for innovation and best practices.
