Community Book Drive Collects Nearly 4000 Books for Local Students

United Way of Greater Cincinnati partnered with Adopt A Book to collect and sort nearly 4,000 books to encourage literacy at the Community Book Drive. The books were distributed to numerous schools and programs around Greater Cincinnati!


Who received the books?  

Midway Elementary School, the Hamilton County Educational Services Center Headstart program, Newport Intermediate School, Portsmouth Library, WordPlay’s Ride for Reading program, and kindergarten students in the United Way Emerging Readers Program at Mt. Washington School, Winton Hill, Glen O. Swing, and St. Lawrence School.


Who Donated the books?

The books were donated and collected from drive coordinators and individual contributors from: AFL-CIO, Bartlett, Best Upon Request, Berenfield Containers, Inc., Dinsmore & Shohl, Elliott Davis Decosimo, Fifth Third Bank, Friends of the Public Library,The Kroger Co., MyInsight2Action, North American Properties, P&G, SW Ohio PMI, The Shepherd Chemical Company, Three Norwegians Ltd., UC Physicians, United Way of Greater Cincinnati Staff, and many individuals from around the community.
