Giving Tuesday Recap

On Giving Tuesday, United Way of Greater Cincinnati launched RideUnited to raise funds and awareness around the lack of reliable transportation in our region. RideUnited, presented locally by TriHealth, leverages the strengths of the United Way 211 network to address unmet critical transportation needs. In addition to launching RideUnited, we celebrated Giving Tuesday at Taft’s Brewpourium, where volunteers assembled more than 200 Family Assistance kits.

Area Banks, United Way Help Students Learn Power of Saving

In an effort to build financial literacy and help students pave the way to long-term success in achieving their dreams, volunteers from 13 area financial institutions led lessons on the importance of saving for more than 2,000 7th graders in 80 classrooms in 19 district schools.

United Way, Duke Energy partner to provide summer heat relief to those in need

Duke Energy and United Way of Greater Cincinnati are partnering to bring welcome relief to those in need. Duke Energy is providing a $25,000 grant to buy fans for area older adults, low-income residents and people with disabilities.

$23.7 Million in Tax Refunds for Local Families

The Regional Volunteer Tax Assistance Collaborative, which provided free tax preparation services and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) outreach, returned over $23 million in tax refunds to local families. "I can't imagine a better return on investment to my community," said one volunteer.
