Named after Mr. Herbert R. Brown, a prominent community leader, this society unites African American leaders to create change.

What is the Herbert R. Brown society?

As a member of United Way’s Herbert R. Brown Society (African American donors investing $1,000+), you’ll engage with more than 400 African American leaders to create long-lasting change in the community.

The society is named after Mr. Herbert R. Brown, a prominent community leader, in recognition of his tremendous contributions in support of providing solutions to challenging community problems.

Your Herbert R. Brown Society Experience

In addition to creating a brighter future for our community, you’ll unite with fellow members throughout the year to enjoy these experiences:

  • Connect with other donors passionate about issues facing the African American community.
  • Hands-on volunteer events dedicated to supporting the African American community.
  • Invitations to network and connect with community members who share your interests.
  • Learn about the people whose lives have changed because of you.
