Telethon viewers can support United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s long-term COVID-19 recovery and revitalization efforts by texting U4C to 71777. Donations will fund direct relief to residents in a 10-county region in southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky.
United Way initially teamed with Greater Cincinnati Foundation to raise more than $5 million for a rapid response to COVID-19 suffering. Now, UWGC will lead recovery and revitalization efforts throughout the region.
“The need for relief is greater yet, and recovery and revitalization are long-term efforts,” said Moira Weir, United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s President/CEO. “United Way is uniquely positioned to harness the collective power of a variety of community entities and assets to make donor dollars go farther and have greater impact. We are fortunate and thankful to have the trust and support of event organizers and contributors. Friday will be wonderful night of entertainment that helps provide direct relief to so many of our community’s families.”
The event is being organized by a group of Cincinnatians, including members of G&B Strategies and NuVoodoo Media Services, LLC.
