CINCINNATI, Ohio (February 1, 2022) — Did you know most career development programing is focused on middle school and high school students, but the early years (4–13 years old) is when children begin to understand the future? To fill that gap, we recently launched the My First Career project, an introduction for early learners to career exploration.

In January, in partnership with Clermont County Libraries and two Clermont County school districts, United Way of Greater Cincinnati's Success By 6® paired local business and community leaders with children's literature highlighting various career paths. Each month from January through May we're sharing lesson plans and a video of our local leaders with early education teachers and informational posters for the libraries to highlight career pathways, giving young children and families a chance to learn about and discuss careers in an age-appropriate way.

The first lesson about business, management and administration features a video of Joy Lytle, President/CEO Clermont County of Commerce reading "How to Get a Job by Me the Boss."
