Public policies: - Maintain and increase access to work support programs, including child care assistance, Medicaid and food stamps
- Maintain and expand refundable Earned Income Tax Credits
- Support funding, improvement and alignment of job training programs
- Ensure workforce training programs align with employer needs and help people obtain industry-specific credentials and career pathway advancement
- Focus workforce training on priority industry sectors
- Develop work-readiness certification through implementation of the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- Reduce barriers for people with criminal records to reenter the workforce
- Support alignment of family supports, work supports and financial education along career pathways
