Child with applesUnited Way Day of Action

On Friday, June 21, join hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the world to help us reach our universal goals in education, income and health. United Way Day of Action is the day we stand up for ourselves, our friends, our families, and our community to pledge to change the course of our future.
What: Help us create healthy snack packs for area children participating in summer programs.
When: Friday, June 21, 3 PM - 5 PM
Where: Gabriel's Place, 3615 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45229
Who: United Way of Greater Cincinnati donors, volunteers, and advocates. (Ages 10+ with adult supervision)
How: RSVP below by Tuesday, June 11
Why:
United Way is working with organizations throughout the region to ensure that, by 2020, at least 70 percent of the community will report having excellent or very good health. One step toward this goal is to help struggling families find access to food, especially nutritious, healthy food.

Many children who receive free lunch during the school year do not have enough food during the long summer months. By providing kids with nutritious food during the summer, we can help them stay healthy so that they continue to learn throughout the summer and can start school again, ready to succeed, in the fall.
