Board Orientation & Leadership Development Program (BOLD)

Do you want the tools and knowledge to make maximum impact on countless lives and our community?  Are you looking to serve on a board or committee but don’t know where to start? United Way of Greater Cincinnati's Board Orientation and Leadership Development (BOLD) program is for you.

BOLD_graduates_07_Spring_Summer.jpgThe highly interactive BOLD classes and matching service put participants in touch with voluntarism at its most dynamic level, the board level.

In these challenging economic times it is difficult for agencies to serve the community’s needs. They need help from professionals with various skills and experience. Through BOLD training, you will be prepared to help lead and manage organizations through these trying times.

BOLD is a course designed for people with limited board experience and is Cincinnati’s most comprehensive board training program.  More than 400 BOLD graduates have been serving on Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s nonprofit boards and committees, helping children and youth succeed, families and individuals achieve financial stability, and individuals live quality lives.

Participants will learn the core responsibilities of board members, participate in an agency project utilizing the skills they learned while taking BOLD, and select an agency board or committee on which to serve.
