Public Policy and Advocacy
United Way of Greater Cincinnati's partnerships with federal, state and local governments are crucial to developing the systems and providing the resources needed to change community conditions and positively impact our entire community.
We:
- Develop relationships with elected and appointed government officials at all levels so that we work cooperatively to improve our communities.
- Educate government representatives about the important role this organization and other non-profits play in solving community problems.
- Develop public sector support for strategic initiatives through funding and system change.
- Inform volunteers, partners and local communities about policy and funding opportunities and help them be effective participants in state and local government.
